Not sure how to get fire compliant? We'll show you what needs to be done.
Our Fire Safety Action Plan is a practical, standalone service designed to help businesses and property owners understand their current fire-safety position and what they need to do to improve it.
We review the premises and existing arrangements, explain the gaps in plain English and give you a clear, prioritised plan of action.
It is a standalone service and is never bundled with anything else. It also does not replace a Fire Risk Assessment where one is legally required. If you want to understand the rules first, start with our Fire Compliance Hub.
Built by Property Owners. Supporting Property Owners. Sensible Compliance Without Unnecessary Cost.

What the Action Plan can review
The scope is tailored to the property, its use and the arrangements already in place. It may include:
- Means of escape and exits
- Fire detection and warning
- Emergency lighting
- Fire doors
- Compartmentation
- Fire safety signage
- Firefighting equipment
- Evacuation arrangements
- Management procedures
- Staff arrangements and training where relevant
- Testing and servicing
- Records and documentation
- Obvious hazards and housekeeping
What you gain
- Know what needs attention
- Know what to prioritise first
- Understand what can be handled internally
- Understand where a specialist contractor is needed
- Know what testing, servicing, records or evidence should be in place
- Receive practical advice reflecting the realities of running property or a business
- Get independent advice not driven by selling remedial works
Independent advice, without remedial-work sales
Fire Check Scotland does not carry out remedial works. Our recommendations are based on what the premises needs, not on selling you alarms, doors, emergency lighting or contractor work.
Already have an FRA but don't know what to do next?
We can review an existing Fire Risk Assessment — including one produced by another assessor — explain its findings and help you turn the actions into a practical implementation plan.
We identify priorities, distinguish internal actions from specialist work and help you understand what evidence should be retained. This support is available independently and is not a prerequisite for the Fire Safety Action Plan.
Important distinction
A Fire Safety Action Plan is an advisory service and does not replace a Fire Risk Assessment where one is required.
